As someone who is obsessed with the way that dressage improves all horses, I hope you find my website informative, but that this passion also shines through. I am available for judging schooling shows and teaching clinics throughout Michigan and the Midwest. Since 2011, I have traveled to judge many competitions in the region, including shows in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
I have been riding for 28 years, starting out in the hunter/jumper world, and studied dressage with such dressage icons as Maryal Barnett, Jan Ebeling, Jennifer Truett, Kate Fleming Kuhn, and Ruth Hill-Schorsch. In 2010, I earned my Bronze medal on my Thoroughbred ex-racehorse, Lord Kenmer (Kenny), and in 2021, I finished out my Silver medal on CA Davign (Vinni), a half-Arabian gelding owned by Judy Coats. I am also a certified riding Instructor through the American Riding Instructor’s Association (ARIA), with certifications in Dressage and Recreational Riding. In 2016 I retired Kenny, who I’d brought up through Prix St. Georges, and in 2024 my Intermediate 1 ride, CA Davign (Vinni) was retired. I am now coaching riders of all ages with all different breeds of horses, and focusing on my own a 3 year old Hanoverian FEI prospect, Wred Ryder. My most recent addition to the herd is a yearling Hanoverian foal (Dubarry x Widmark x Londonderry), Dancing Willow (Dani).
My judging goal is to move forward with my credentials by earning my USEF ‘r’ judging license by 2027. To further this goal, I re-tested at HITS on the Hudson in Saugerties, New York, in September of 2014, earning my L Grad with Distinction. I have earned the ‘r’ program score requirements of five scores of 65% or higher at Fourth level or above, have applied and been accepted into the “small r,” will begin my training session for the “small r” in July 2026, and will test in July 2027.
