Works With Students as Individuals

Having worked with a variety of students throughout my experiences in my Undergraduate and Graduate programs at MSU, I have come to understand the necessity of working with students on an individual basis and differentiating my instruction to meet student needs. In particular, I have had the privilege of working with many students with Asperger’s syndrome, as well as having a personal connection to Asperger’s syndrome, as my younger brother Alex has this disorder. I have thus had particular success with students with typical Asperger’s needs. Please visit the two attached pages, Literacy Survey, Visual Learners Lesson Plan, and Vocab Cartoons, to learn more about the ways in which I differ my instruction based on the needs of the learners I happen to be working with at the moment. Please also see my Lesson Plans under “Knows and Teaches English as a Subject Matter” to learn how I differentiate instruction for different types of learners in my classroom.
